Sailingboat Refit
I completed an extensive restoration and refit of a sailing yacht. I started by removing the old wooden toe rail, repairing the fiberglass underneath, and sanding and repainting the surface. I then reinstalled all deck fittings, including the railing, cleats, and anchor hardware, using stainless steel backing plates for extra strength. I also installed a new rubber rub rail.
I sanded the hull and applied new antifouling, replaced the anodes, and treated the propeller with a special coating to prevent marine growth.
Inside the yacht, I sanded and repainted the walls and ceiling in white, creating a much brighter, more open and spacious feel. I completely redesigned and rebuilt the kitchen, significantly increasing storage space through a smarter layout, additional drawers, and reorganized cabinets.
I also designed and built a custom table with a steam-bent wooden edge and replaced the original seating with a new bench featuring additional drawer storage.
